Since Harry Potter fan-fiction is my obsession as of late, I'll start with that.

A Harry Situation by Jelsemium - Rated PG
This story is just really great, I haven't read it in quite a while. It takes place in Harry's 5th year and was written Pre-OotP. Sirius is alive!! Alive I say! This story features constantly Hospitalized Harry.
Completed. Also read the sequel; A Sirius Situation (WIP)
An Aunts Love by Emma Lipardi - Rated PG-13
Harry comes home after the fifth year depressed, despondant, and barely functioning. Petunia Dursley is not happy. Finally! In this story Petunia gets help for Harry and sends him off to a children's mental hospital. Emma Lipardi has really done an excellent job on this story; it's true to the story and filled with honest emotion.

Midnight Guardian by ksomm - Rated PG
This is an alternate reality third year fic where Harry Potter meets Padfoot before hearing all the rumors about Sirius Black. It's really sweet, but deals with some child abuse. It's not graphic though. Read and enjoy!

Gold and Silver, Fire and Ice by Ankha - Rated PG-13
This is another one that I haven't read in ages, but I'll tell you right now that it's very, very good. It's also very, very not cannon. On reflection it's probably why I like it. Don't believe me? This story features not Harry Potter, but Harry Potter-Snape-Dumbledore. Yes... Mentions of child abuse. (Seems to be a trend in a lot of HP fics.)

One Good Turn by empathicsiren - Rated R
Snape mentors Harry fic. (You'll find that's a favorite theme of mine.) This is a true hurt/comfort fic that, despite what seems like an impossible situation remains very cannon. It is rated R for a reason though.

The Only MarySue Story Worth Reading Ever by JuicyJuice - Rated PG
For everybody who's ever read what might have been a great story....if it weren't for her. *smirks* Warning: for safety and sanitation reasons please pee before reading this story and avoid food and water while reading.

The Boy in the Cupboard Under the Stairs by Under the Oak Tree - Rated PG-13
This story was written in dedication to all the authors 'who've realized that Harry's still stuck in his cupboard and need somebody to help him out.' It's a truly beautiful story that I won't spoil with a summary. It's full of real human emotion and love. You'll enjoy it.
